As you can see, adopting from Brew City Rescue can save you several hundred dollars in vet bills alone. Your typical first year cost range between $350 – $1,500+ depending on the breed, size, and special needs of your dog.
In addition, when adopting a dog it is important to select a reputable rescue group. It is important that whether you adopt your dog from a rescue or shelter, or buy your dog from a pet store or dog-breeder that you understand the true cost of dog ownership.

- Preventative Medicines and Supplements ($100 – $300/year)
- Basic supplies: Crate, Bed, Collar, Lease, Water Bowl ($50 – $200 every couple of years)
- Premium Dog Food and Treats ($20 – $60/month)
